Brookdale House is the home of your hosts Chris and Debbie Grant in the pleasant market town of Wadebridge.

We hold the coveted Silver Award and are rated as a 4 Star facility. We offer high quality en-suite accommodation comprising of two double en-suite rooms & one family en-suite room (one double and two singles).

Brookdale house is situated on the corner of Trevanion Road and Brook Road and takes its name from the stream, which runs through the Polmorla Valley and joins the River Camel nearby.

The two parishes, St Breock (pronounced 'Bray ock') and Egloshayle (pronounced 'Eglos hayle') are divided by the River Camel (originally Canhayle) and linked by a 15th Century bridge, which many believe was built on bags of wool. This may mean however, that the taxes on the wool helped to finance the project instigated by Rev. Lovibond who was vicar of Egloshayle Church at the time.

The town, now enhanced by the building of a much needed by-pass is steeped in history and surrounded by many opportunities to relax and enjoy North Cornwall and other easy to reach attractions.

The Camel Trail is a tremendous attraction running through the town as it meanders for 19 miles along the river bank on the old railway line site from Bodmin Moor to Padstow.

The changing views of the trail from rugged moorland, through green valleys and on to the beautiful estuary with its beaches of golden sand are a delight to the eyes of cyclists and walkers alike.
